Bonding over bubblegum.
In keeping with PM’s brief to bring you odd and interesting images on every subject imaginable, we offer this picture of US Air Force Captain Ryan Weld spending quality time with villagers – one old, one somewhat newer, as evidenced by absent beard and pink bubblegum – during a wroowali (brotherhood) mission to Bakorzai village in Afghanistan. Weld, an intelligence officer with the US military, is assigned to Provincial Reconstruction Team Zabul.
